    Powerhouse Ingredient: Vitamin C

Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) decreases brown spots and keeps skin healthy

    Hello, beautiful people!

At ANJALI MD, we love powerhouse ingredients that offer multiple benefits to the skin! One of our favorites is Vitamin C. Sometimes you see it listed clearly in the ingredients list, but sometimes it can get a little tricky to spot because it can go by many (many!) names.

The most common forms of Vitamin C in skincare are ascorbic acid, tetrahexyldexyl ascorbate and magnesium ascorbyl phosphate. Other forms include sodium ascorbyl phosphate, ascorbyl palmitate, ascorbyl glucoside, sodium ascorbate and ascorbyl glucoasmine. I know this sounds like a college-level organic chemistry class....but it's important to know whats in your skincare.

So next time you're at the beauty counter, be sure to look for Vitamin C hidden in all those ingredients!
